Christmas Gift Ideas Perfect For The Home

Struggling for gift ideas? Some people can be hard to buy for and we totally get it! Instead of a gift card or a bottle of wine we think something for home is a lovely and thoughtful idea to gift this Christmas. So here are a few of our top buys to hopefully give you some gift-giving inspiration!

Budget Friendly and Secret Santa Gift Ideas

Candle

It's a classic but probably because no-one hates a candle, right? If you want to support local, research a few small businesses - that's always a nice little touch. Otherwise, you really can't go wrong with Glasshouse, Ecoya, or Country Road for scrumptious scents.

Breadboards

A timber breadboard is a lovely and affordable Christmas gift option. Not only are they super functional (hello, grazing table!), but they also make for a cute display piece in the kitchen propped up against a kitchen splashback. We love this one from Target for it's light neutral tone - perfect for any home! See how we styled it in our Noosa Heads apartment renovation below:

Getting Sentimental

Frames

You really can't go past a nice frame with your favourite photograph for a thoughtful, sentimental gift. Country Road have some gorgeous frames, or look to a beautiful custom-made frame from someone local to you. One of our favourites if you're local to Brisbane are our friends at Artis Pura, who also do beautiful box-framed canvases for those that are artistic.

Memory Box

Is there someone in your life that is a collector of cards, drawings and small sentimental items? A great gift idea is a memory box. You can have it engraved with their name or a sweet quote or go for something eye-catching like this beautiful bone inlay one from Ruby Star Traders, or this tan check one from Inside Home Style.

Family Photo Shoot

It doesn't get more heartfelt than a family photo shoot (including the furry ones). Don't worry, matching denim outfits aren't a prerequisite, unless of course that's how you roll!

Christmas Tree Decorations

This one can be both sentimental and budget-friendly - a win-win!! Did the gift recipient buy their first home? Or perhaps there's been a new addition to the family. There is a Christmas tree decoration out there to mark all these special events.

This ceramic house decoration from Target is a lovely choice for a budget-friendly sentimental gift to mark the first Christmas at home. Sentimental on a budget could be a Christmas decoration such as this one from Target.

These are a lovely choice for baby's first Christmas - a great option to gift grandparents: https://www.potterybarnkids.com.au/baby-hand-foot-print-kit-ornament and/or https://www.potterybarnkids.com.au/baby-bootie-keepsake-ornament? You could even write a personal message or the birth date to make it more custom.

Photo Book

Another favourite of ours is a photo book. You can select photos from your phone and get a book made up - it's that easy! Check out https://onceupon.photo/en-au.

Splurge - Why Not!

Commissioned Artwork

If the budget allows, a commissioned piece of artwork would be a dream gift for some. You could start the process by seeking out an artist and getting the conversation started. Art is very personal so it's best to leave the design brief to the gift receiver, however, a print out of who the artist is and some of their previous work will go a long way in getting them excited!

Interior Design Gift Card

A gift card for a consultation with us, Little White Label. This is a great idea for someone you know that is in need of a little guidance and advice for their interiors. You can purchase this by simply sending us an email at hello@littlewhitelabel.com.au.

We hope that some of these were helpful in finding the right gifts for you this Christmas.

Let's get festive!
